The San Diego Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota
Life as a Rose does not stop when you graduate from college! There are over 200 alumnae chapters of Sigma Alpha Iota all across the United States, as well as an International Chapter for all sisters who live over 50 miles from the host city of the alumnae chapter closest to them. The San Diego Alumnae have one of the most active chapters in the world, and have won numerous awards at SAI National Convention over the last 70 years. The Alumnae host many annual activities and programs which benefit our local college chapter! Each year they host the San Diego SAI Scholarship Benefit Concert, in which the Alumnae find famous musical groups to perform and they invite the public to enjoy live music at San Diego State (or other local venues.) Money raised at this function goes into a scholarship fund. Every spring, Iota Delta actives can apply for this $1,000 scholarship to pay for tuition, books, and other SDSU fees. Also, the Alumnae host a Holiday party in December, and the San Diego Founder's Day Celebration late every spring. They always invite Iota Delta Roses to perform in the Founder's Day Musicale, which showcases the musical talents of the SDSU music majors in our organization!
